Abstract
Model -making is a powerful technique uses to transfer the abstract construction of an idea to a visual concept. It is a self-evident element of the architectural métier and a basic requirement in the architectural and interior design studio in the undergraduate program of learning where the design is completely a new experience. Model-making is not just to clarify the formal relations but it also represents the spatial completeness relations, scale, and proportions. The model making process helps the student to think creatively and to motivate his (her) perceptual thoughtful of the form. There has been a period of time in the history of design that were categorized by a model-driven approach. The research paper focuses on the assignments of the first year because the student often deals with abstract forms and formal compositions where the chance of getting inspiration from external references is limited and the concentration will be on the form itself.
